<p>This law effects owner financing, collecting payments from owner financed notes and who needs this new license.  The license will cost about $2,000 a year and it does require classes, fingerprints, specific amounts of liquid assets and office space.  If you are a licensed mortgage originator, you will have to work for a licensed mortgage broker.</p>
<p>This is a critical point in the path of real estate in North Carolina, come and hear it explained in more detail.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The Safe Act is anything but safe!  It will change the way we do short sales and real estate in general.  I just spoke to a local attorney about it &#8211; I will be putting together a summary for anyone on the website.  If you want one now, just email me at ShortSaleSandi@gmail.com.  This is something that is a federal law and everyone needs to be aware of it.  Each state can create their own interpretation.  HUD has not completed their final verbiage at this time.  They are reviewing all the comments it received earlier this year.  It does not apply if you sell for cash.  It does apply if you plan to carry owner financing.  Time will tell how this will end up.</p>
